I am planning a weekend with a difference.

A GPS treasure hunt followed by a barbeque on the South Coast.

The GPS hunt will be spread across both Saturday and Sunday with the clues emailed out Friday night. You will have the whole weekend to complete – or not if you just want a barbeque.

To compete you will just need a smart phone with GPS and camera. The idea is to find obscure gems and take a selfie to show you were there. Scoring will be based on successfully locating the places and items. It should appeal particularly to kids.

The barbeque meeting place will be the Brooklyn Wind Turbine at 2:30 on the Sunday. From here we will journey down to the coast and around to a suitable area for our baroque. Being a Sunday it should be fairly quiet around there.
